Workplace as a Service, as a further development of Software as a Service, provides not only software but also the necessary hardware, so that a fully functional workplace is created and can be provided as a Managed Service. Our service is much more than just renting hardware. You get a flexible workstation solution from a single source. We offer business customers these services on the basis of a rental model over a contractually agreed period of between 12, 24 and 36 months. The scope of services varies according to your company’s requirements and can be flexibly structured.

Laptop and go!
The standard package includes the provision of laptops on a rental basis. In order to meet the various requirements, we provide different models. All hardware is protected with care packages from the respective manufacturers – including warranty.
Desktop Workstation
In addition to the standard package, we offer a premium package. This complements the provision of laptops with a desktop workstation consisting of docking stations, monitors, keyboards and mice. These hardware components can be selected depending on your requirements.

FAQs about our service
For which terms can I book WaaS?
We have three standardized terms from which you can choose: 12 months, 24 months and 36 months. These terms have proven successful with our customers.
Do you also assist with onboarding and offboarding processes?
If your company needs support with the onboarding and offboarding process or would like to automate it, that’s no problem. We also offer a workshop on this topic. Feel free to write us
Is the hardware insured via commehr?
Safety is a top priority for us. That is why we are happy to provide insurance cover for the equipment rented as part of WaaS.
Can I also just rent equipment?
Yes, that’s no problem! Feel free to email us at vertrieb@commehr.de.
Do the devices belong to us after the runtime?
No. The devices are usually obsolete at the end of the contract term.
What happens if I drop a device or water runs over it?
The devices must be insured with an electronics insurance. Either by the customers themselves or via commehr.
Will the device be safely deleted by you after the runtime?
Yes. We will reset the devices at the end of the term.
Is there a minimum term?
Contractual terms are defined as 12/24/36 months. After that, the service can be terminated on a monthly basis.
Can I purchase any model through WaaS?
We offer standard equipment configurations. The models are provided according to availability in the market. Any model will be accepted depending on feasibility. You can coordinate this with our sales team.
What happens if a device is accidentally damaged?
It is important to purchase electronics insurance for the hardware. You can also have the devices insured via commehr. The damage must then be covered by the existing insurance.
What happens on the event of theft or where do I have to report and when?
It is important that the hardware is insured against damage and theft by you. Theft must be reported to us and the insurer at the earliest possible time.
What happens at the end ot the term?
The service can continue and can be cancelled on a monthly basis.
Can I include the client in the company's MDM (Mobile Device Management)?
Yes, this can be coordinated with our sales team.
Can the basic setup be extended according to your own wishes?
Yes, this can be coordinated with our sales team.

We have a freelancer / a project / we are exhibiting at a trade fair. can i also borrow the equipment from you for a shorter period of time?
Borrowing equipment for a shorter period is currently not possible (minimum 12 months).
We have certain requirements for the device (e.g. keyboard layout, backlight, particularly robust, large screen diagonal). this can also be taken into account

Is a support flat rate included?
No, support is charged according to time and effort. Only problems that occur due to production errors on the manufacturer’s side (e.g. keyboard/screen causes problems) are treated and diagnosed free of charge before a handover to the manufacturer’s technicians takes place.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Yes, at least 2-3 devices must be ordered.
Are large purchase quantities also possible?
Yes, larger purchase quantities are possible.
Does the device become part of our inventory at the end of the term?
No, currently this is not possible.
Do we (automatically) receive a new device after the minimum contract period?
Not automatically. You can arrange this with our sales team after the minimum contract period.
Are there any requirements regarding private use of the device?
No. In case of illegal activities commehr does not take any responsibility.
We have already purchased and rolled out virus protection company-wide. Can we deselect this option?
Yes, this can be coordinated with our sales team.
What is the basic equipment?
Basic Setup is used to set up the notebooks for the users (user account, password). The operating system is updated as well as licensed antivirus and encryption solutions (Bitdefender). In the end, the devices are configured and ready to use.
What is NinjaRMM?
NinjaRMM is the licensed software used for asset and client management.
What are scripts?
Scripts enable the automation of various tasks, such as emptying the recycle bin, removing temp files and push installations.
What is 7-Zip?
7-Zip is a file archiver for compressing and decompressing files. If you need to save space or make your files portable, this software can compress your files into an archive with the .7z extension.
What is .NET?
.NET is a cross-platform, open-source developer platform for creating many different types of applications. With .NET, you can use multiple languages, editors, and libraries to develop for web, mobile, desktop, games, and IoT).
